Day 10 – Chenny Tour Exhibition

Good evening ❤

Another night spend in a 24/7 coffee shop in Sinchon with Ally and I could really get used to that!

Today, I woke up early and headed over to Hyehwa for the Chenny Tour exhibition

since my friend asked if I could help out and I surely enjoyed lending them a hand.

Many people don’t know how much work these birthday events are, how much energy and time they swallow

and yet everyone was smiling and fooling around with each other despite the language barrier.

Without further ado let me guide you through this beautiful exhibition.

Allow me to be your special guide on this tour!

Thanks again for coming up all the way to Seoul to see me my dear ❤

(and also climbed a freaking mountain in heels – which I shall blog about tomorrow :’D)

For today I will leave it at that and probably head back to Hongdae soon,

I hope you enjoyed my little tour!

Much love and see you tomorrow =3

Day 6 – Kamong, Coex and Kindly Suho Screening

I’m laughing at myself because I claimed to be doing mostly EXO unrelated

stuff which turned out to be total bullshit because the Korean fans just offer so many

events for the boys and especially Jongdae right now that I just cant resist.

So after seeing Grace off today, I grabbed my suitcase and headed over to Hongdae to my new hostel.

It’s funny how we ran into the Chen Bus, which we’d been searching for just by chance in front of a coffee shop close to our hostel :’D

*

20150913_101633

Cutest little bus!

*

After grabbing some food/drinks with the dongsaeng, it was already time to head over to Gangnam

where I would meet up with my Eonnie for lunch, Kamong, Coex and the kindly Suho screening event which we

received tickets for by a friend.

20150913_121125

The mandu and spicy rice cakes were so good but unfortunately we couldn’t finish all of it…

*

MYXJ_20150913131550_fast

We arrived at Kamong and ordered our drinks, mint chocolate Kamongchino and were mesmerized by all

these cute EXO dolls around us!!

*

*

Eonnie got me so much presents, it felt like Christmas in September :’DD

20150913_125901

I never bought “Die Jungs” so it made me so happy to receive the M version and

look at all these cute little stickers /swoons

*

Then we moved on to COEX which is only about 3 – 4 stops away from Kamong by train (Samsung Station) and

the store is really something else – it feels like one is standing in the hall of fame the moment

you enter the first floor.

Look at all that merchandise that no one really needs but wants nonetheless.

Best Halloween Costume Award goes to?

*

20150913_152145

We entered the cafe afterwards and lord the amount of EXO dolls there were no joke – even more

than at Kamong.

*

20150913_153004_001

Too pretty to be eaten.

*

20150913_153044

*

20150913_153203

I have to admit that I find these cookies really cute and adorable but I bet they don’t really

taste good.

*

20150913_153632

Pretty bottles but I got the newest one – might go back to buy the Love Me Right one on

Friday =)

*

20150913_160411

Don’t blame me I was always a sucker for purikura inspired photography and eonnie showed it to me!

*

Next stop was the screening event of kindly Suho and let me tell you she is the sweetest

person alive just like her bias – she gave us 2 tickets in the front row and Myeonie fancams were

super precious and I could probably fill pages over the screening event only but it’s 1am and I have a

musical to attend tomorrow so allow me to keep it short.

20150913_165938

*

20150913_165257

Handsome leader nim ❤

*

20150913_170050

Front Row Seat, thank you Kindly Suho&Cithun

*

20150913_170915

Look at the cute myeonie doll we received for free, we also got a poster, balloon, photo-cards and

tokki myeon plasters.

*

The atmosphere inside the venue was amazing, we laughed a lot together especially about Junmyeon wildly dancing to

machine and being a total dork behind the scene. One time Sehun blocked the view and everyone went “Sehunna~

Sehunna~ SEHUNNA!!” it was hilarious! One time only Jongin’s lower body showed during the Call Me Baby fancam and

the whole hall went silent for a second before we all giggled like the dirty, little perfects that

we all are. The ending was emotional, filled with words of gratitude, love and trust.

It was a great experience!

I even received this pillow in the end and took a picture with the bday ad because there is no difference at all!

20150913_195210

It’s 1 am now and I’m hosting my own event for In The Height’s tomorrow as well as helping

out China Chen Union – so I better call it a night now.

Good night lovelies ❤

Seoul Diaries: Hongdae aka handsome/beautiful people everywhere!

ハロ~

Hello!

久しぶりに日本語で書こうかな~て(笑)

So I thought about writing in japanese again for once haha

韓国でも日本人をたくさん会ったけどやっぱりあまり日本語をしゃべれなかったです。。。泣

Even though I met some japanese people in Seoul I wasn’t able to talk to them much…

韓国語は少ししかはなせないから友達がずっと手伝ってあげました。汗

Not to mention that I can’t really speak korean so my friend did all the work. Thanks babe!

では~!今日はちょっとだけHONGDAEの話をしたいです。

So today’s topic is: Hongdae!

Hongdaeには大学の人気スポットです!

It’s one of the famous regions none for university students so everything is pretty cheap and full of young people.

今から取った写真をみんなさんに見せてあげます~

So let me show you some pictures!

時差ぼけのせいで朝五時に起きた私たちはHongdaeで散歩に行きました。w

Thanks to our jet-lag we were wandering around Hongdae starting 5 am. Drunken Korean people are hilarious!

P1090835

Our hostel (kimchee hostel hongdae) was about 10 minutes away from the main street so definitely check it out!

安い洋服やさんはたくさんあるから仕方がじゃなかったです。

This place is…one of the reason why my money is gone and my closet is overflowing with new outfits….

BUT the stores are really cheap just be aware that most of them only accept cash and no credit card 😉

I wanted to eat Jam Bong since I had to watch Jihyo eating it on Running Man.

DELICIOUS seafood with noodles and it wasn’t even that spicy! Try it!

とても長い日でしたから夜になったらすぐ練っちゃったです。w

The day pretty much ended with us passing out at the hostel around 7pm? haha

じゃ~!つぎのブログはたぶんMyeongdongのことになります。

Well, the next post will be about Myeongdong so stay tuned!

Work&Travel in Japan

blogfont1

Hello everyone~!

This post is especially dedicated to all my fellow adventures and japanese majors out there who are looking

for an ‘easy’, ‘financial possibility’ to spend up to 1 year in Japan.

Now, all I’m going to talk about from here onwards is based on my OWN experiences so please keep that in mind while reading.

1247_01

First of all let me introduce to you the program that brought  me to Okinawa back in 2011:

BOOBOOSKI

Boobooski is an Australian organisation that has been  placing foreigners either in a hotel resort in Okinawa (summer program)

or at a Ski Resort in Hokkaido. The two of the main eligibility criteria are:

You should have at least 6 months of Japanese study experience and eligible for a japanese Working Holiday Visa.

You can apply directly at their homepage and they’ll be in contact with you asap.

Now, for everyone who is worrying about the expenses, here is the deal. You only have to pay for the flight tickets + bring some money for the first

months because you are getting PAID!

While I worked at Rizzan Sea Park Hotel I received around 70,o00 Yen a month which already included the accommodation fees.

So you really have 70,000 Yen spending money each month!

(You are getting paid more during the winter program – so I heard. Approx. 120,000 Yen a month.)

I can’t express with words how much I learned while being in Okinawa. Definitely made some of the best friends in my life so far.

If you are interested to read about my experiences while working at Rizzan Sea Park Hotel you can find all my written entries below

as link:

  1. The adventure begins
  2. Welcome to paradise
  3. Work…Work..WORK!
  4. Japanese co workers
  5. Day off part 1
  6. Day off part 2
  7. Karaoke time with my lovely Roomates!
  8. Visiting my friends in Naha
  9. Staying fit
  10. Beach timeeeee!
  11. Sweet Potato Factory
  12. Daily life
  13. More of my daily life =)
  14. Morning Shift
  15. My trip to Nago
  16. Last day in Okinawa

The time I spent in Okinawa is something I’ll never forget – it was a wonderful experiences. Working was no joke though! lol

f1a3804d-87cb-4550-a4ec-d7236416343b_20120718203638

There are probably a lot of you thinking that you could also just give it a shot, fly to Tokyo and look for a job there…

Let me tell you that, that’s going to be more than difficult if you can’t write&read Kanji.

After I left Okinawa to look for a job by myself in Tokyo I was struggling a lot, which you can read about here:

  1. Arriving in Tokyo
  2. Job Hunting & first struggles
  3. Korea Town near Shinjuku
  4. Final Decision
  5. Final Clubbing

I don’t what to say that it is IMPOSSIBLE to find a job in Tokyo but it is a little bit difficult.

Living abroad is nevertheless one of the best experiences one can have. If you have the chance always take it!

If you have further questions, then feel free to leave a comment at this post and I will get back to you asap.

Much love!

Top 5 Things to be aware of as a foreigner in Japan!

Good evening.

Since until now I have only been talking about everything bright and sunny in Japan today,

I wanted to share some things a foreigner should be aware of while traveling Japan.

1. Shinjuku&Roppongi at night

Roppongi and Shinjuku are well-known for their clubs, pubs and (host/hostess) bars.

Those spots can be a blast – no doubt but also very dangerous if you end up too drunk or if you aren’t fluent in japanese.

Ladies, I’m well aware that some japanese hosts look very delicious but always remember that they are getting paid for shit and you wont.

Especially if you can’t speak japanese – they can trick you off a lot of money.

A  guy who stayed at the same hostle as I, got robbed off  1 Man Yen (around 1.500$) one night by a japanese hooker in Shinjuku

because he was too drunk to realise what he was actually doing.

Know your alcohol limit! OR have a japanese friend come along who keeps an eye on you!

2. Racism

No matter where we go – especially some old people are still not too found of foreigners in THEIR country.

Don’t take it to heart and simply ignore it.

3. Last train leaves around  11:40 pm and the first one in the morning goes around 5:30am

…yeah! So all you can do is go out at midnight and party till the morning.

Taxi fees are expensive – always share!

4. Foreign girls hunter

This topic has been everywhere lately on japan related blogs written by girls.

I was quite amused/shocked that all of them had a similar experience like me.

Shibuya, Shinjuku, Roppongi and Harajuku are the hot spots for japanese guys to hunt after foreign girls.

Their only goal is to get laid.

If you meet a guy and he asked you to go to Karaoke with him – DECLINE!

Karaoke boxes are cheaper than love hotels but are used for the same purpose.

Most of the time they try to get you drunk to sleep with you, so please girls, be aware of this.

5. Sexual harassment

Especially in overly crowded train – some men take will try to touch you inappropriately and

claim it to be accidentally. Never stay quite – speak up for yourself and let other people here you.

At night there will be an extra wagon for women, take that chance and be at peace.

I love Japan but from my experience it’s always good to be on one’s gard – especially as a girl.

That’s all for today!

Much love!
