Seoul Tripping: Nanu Guesthouse PINK

Good evening or good morning?

Many of you have asked me about my accommodation during my stay in Seoul and even though

I have stayed at various hostels during my past three visits, Nanu Guesthouse has been the best

hostel out of all of them so far.

I chose the Hostel for his Pink Hello Kitty design,it’s central location and great reviews on bookings.com and airbnb.com!

Without further ado, let me introduce me to the hostel:

It is located in the heart of Hongdae, surrounded by cute coffee shops and only a three minute

walk away from Exit 3 of Hongik University Station!

The Hostel offers dorm rooms, twin rooms but also private rooms for a good

prize considering that you have free (perfect/fast) WiFi, a clean shower/restroom with towels, a common room

with a kitchen and a digital door lock protected by a password, I was definitely more than surprised about the low daily rate. The staff are all very friendly and always reachable through LINE (or one phone call away).

Now let’s take a look at the adorable rooms and interior design, shall we?

The common room with the kitchen, dining table, phone and free city guidebooks of Seoul!

The two pictures above show you the private rooms =)

(adorable, right?)

The Twin rooms, with a make up table and do you spot the cute Hello Kitty Pillows?

And lastly the dorm rooms! Each of the different room types have lockers and a make up table =)

I wanted to steal that pillow so bad :’D

People always look down on hostels but I’d hope that my readers and fellow low budget travelers

will see hostels as an opportunity to meet new friends, exchange travel stories and also learn more

about another culture. Not to mention that his hostel is super cozy and even tough people came in

after me when I was already asleep inside the room, they kept quite and kept their voices down if

they were still talking to a friend or on the phone.

The staff as already mentioned is really kind, all of them know English and inform you

about events or free sight seeing insiders in Seoul – one even invited me to go to a university festival

where Mamamoo was performing but unfortunately I couldn’t make it.

They also sometimes organize small events like, a dorm party or cooking dinner all together (grabbing a drink together at

a bar close by) so staying at Nanu Guesthouse has really paid of, I made so many new friends

and also learned a lot about what it’s like to live/work in Seoul from the owner =)

So, if you are looking for a comfortable, save and cheap place to stay in Seoul, Nanu Guesthouse is

definitely the place for you! It also only takes one hour by train or airport bus to the airport so you

don’t have to worry about struggling with your heavy luggage.

I hope this post was informative, if you want more info on prices etc, please check Nanu Guesthouse’s website here:

Enjoy your future stay!

Day 10 – Chenny Tour Exhibition

Good evening ❤

Another night spend in a 24/7 coffee shop in Sinchon with Ally and I could really get used to that!

Today, I woke up early and headed over to Hyehwa for the Chenny Tour exhibition

since my friend asked if I could help out and I surely enjoyed lending them a hand.

Many people don’t know how much work these birthday events are, how much energy and time they swallow

and yet everyone was smiling and fooling around with each other despite the language barrier.

Without further ado let me guide you through this beautiful exhibition.

Allow me to be your special guide on this tour!

(sneaky Chennie Duck)

First stop at the merchandise stand, look at the adorable eco bag and beautiful Polaroids!

I obviously got some for myself as well 😉

The exhibition room itself is quite huge and spacious, we even rearranged

the lights for better lightening!

Now to some of my favorite pictures, which I took my sweet time to admire.

From baby Jongdae to…

…to our charming poodle prince!

Look at this gorgeous man!

(that was such a good day!)

Our little visitors in Doll form!

Luckily Monica stopped by and we fetched lunched and coffee together!

Our lunch was so delicious – god have mercy!

Thanks again for coming up all the way to Seoul to see me my dear ❤

(and also climbed a freaking mountain in heels – which I shall blog about tomorrow :’D)

For today I will leave it at that and probably head back to Hongdae soon,

I hope you enjoyed my little tour!

Much love and see you tomorrow =3

Day 9 – Thanks Nature Cafe! SHEEP

Good morning Ladies&Gents,

I luckily got a few more hours of sleep last night and am currently sitting in this adorable

coffee shop in Hongdae, sipping on a Honey Latte and writing this blog ❤

Yesterday was a “me” kind of day and I spend it shopping in Hongdae, meeting up with Ally and also

visiting the “Thanks Nature Cafe” in Hongdae, which is a lovely place to visit if you want to relax and ease your mind.

It feels like once you step down, you leave the busy streets of Seoul and step right onto a farm!

You have to get a drink to be able to enter the Sheep area but I planned on getting some nice

iced matcha latte anyways and I surely didn’t regret it!

Myeon Rabbit was my companion on this trip 😉

So cute!

Inside the sheep corral, I took a seat and watched the sheep couple enjoy their lunch!

This one made a mess :’D

This could be me….

They were so adorable and if you sat still, they actually come up to you and I patted them ;__;

Beautiful view, right?

The owner of the sheep is really loveable as well, he played around with them!

I stayed there for about an hour and just watched them, took pictures and figured out some

financial stuff but I really love this cafe, so definitely check it out when you are in the Hongdae area!

Walk up the main road to Hongik University, it’s located on the B1 level to your left if you walk up from Hongdae.

I didn’t want to say goodbye to them but it was time to find myself some lunch as well

and later on meet up with Ally to watch Finn nim’s DVD together (I totally died watching it)

Yesterday was a really nice day, let’s see what today has in store for me.

All of you have a nice day! =)

Day 7&8 – Yo! Check 1, 2, 3, Soy Benny~

Good morning~

Will I ever get more than 5hours sleep while I’m here? Probably not.

Sleep is for the weak :’D

I spend the last two days in Itaewon watching the Musical “In The Heights” and it was

so so good! But let me start from the beginning.

The cute dongsaeng and I went to Holly’s Coffee in Hongdae on Monday morning and

the view from the balcony was amazing!

I love Hongdae’s street art!

Look at the beautiful view and the weather was perfect to sit outside!

We then headed to Itaewon as you can see and met up with some friends of mine, all of us were

early so we decided to visit EdenXNuna’s Birthday exhibition for Jongdae since it was pretty close

to the musical venue.

/whale noises

Look at all these gorgeous pictures – they will be sold to some lucky buyers at the end

of the exhibition.

I’m so glad we had the time to stop by!

Then it was time to head back to the venue because all of us had an event planned to

carry out so we rushed back and passed Exo’s manager BUT like no one besides me seemed to notice??

I was going crazy by myself because he is my favorite one with the cute ears. I’m weird.

On the first day I was lucky to see Jongdae perform with Bukyong from up close in row 10 ❤

Beautiful people…I loved the whole cast.

On the second day I was able to see Luna perform with Jongdae and their voices

work even better together then JongdaeXBukyong – I was so in awe!

Benny also met Chennie Duck :’D

I could go into detail about the musica again but I already did a full report on another sns account so

I will keep it short and say that it was worth all the struggle of getting the tickets.

I haven’t seen Jongdae this happy in a while and his voice was so strong and beautiful – I will

always remember this.

Thank you to everyone who came to our event (cxchenbao) – we really appreciated it!

After the first show my kind eonnie treated all of us to Bingsu at Sulbing where

we also exchanged presents and it felt like Christmas all over again!

My Japanese friend had an extra Chennie Duck and gave it to me ;___; Thanks Mezu ❤

And look at the person who said she wouldn’t buy any merchandise. Right.

My japanese friends and I also managed to visit Cafe Chen on the second day 🙂

Their drinks are really nice – the cafe latte filled me with lot’s of strength for the second Musical Day! :’D

I can’t get over how cute this is!!!! Myeontokki!

Lastly, I ran into the bday ad from China Chen Union on my way home.

The last two days have been very memorable and precious to me.

I will miss my salsa dancing Benny ❤

Day 6 – Kamong, Coex and Kindly Suho Screening

I’m laughing at myself because I claimed to be doing mostly EXO unrelated

stuff which turned out to be total bullshit because the Korean fans just offer so many

events for the boys and especially Jongdae right now that I just cant resist.

So after seeing Grace off today, I grabbed my suitcase and headed over to Hongdae to my new hostel.

It’s funny how we ran into the Chen Bus, which we’d been searching for just by chance in front of a coffee shop close to our hostel :’D

Cutest little bus!

After grabbing some food/drinks with the dongsaeng, it was already time to head over to Gangnam

where I would meet up with my Eonnie for lunch, Kamong, Coex and the kindly Suho screening event which we

received tickets for by a friend.

The mandu and spicy rice cakes were so good but unfortunately we couldn’t finish all of it…

We arrived at Kamong and ordered our drinks, mint chocolate Kamongchino and were mesmerized by all

these cute EXO dolls around us!!

Eonnie got me so much presents, it felt like Christmas in September :’DD

I never bought “Die Jungs” so it made me so happy to receive the M version and

look at all these cute little stickers /swoons

Then we moved on to COEX which is only about 3 – 4 stops away from Kamong by train (Samsung Station) and

the store is really something else – it feels like one is standing in the hall of fame the moment

you enter the first floor.

(I was totally NOT tempted to buy a Jongdae pillow because I’m an responsible young adult /coughs)

Look at all that merchandise that no one really needs but wants nonetheless.

Totebagsssss but none really caught my eye…

/heavy breathing

I know a handful of people who wouldn’t mind wiggling their way in between these pillows.

Best Halloween Costume Award goes to?

We entered the cafe afterwards and lord the amount of EXO dolls there were no joke – even more

than at Kamong.

Too pretty to be eaten.

I have to admit that I find these cookies really cute and adorable but I bet they don’t really

taste good.

Pretty bottles but I got the newest one – might go back to buy the Love Me Right one on

Friday =)

Don’t blame me I was always a sucker for purikura inspired photography and eonnie showed it to me!

Next stop was the screening event of kindly Suho and let me tell you she is the sweetest

person alive just like her bias – she gave us 2 tickets in the front row and Myeonie fancams were

super precious and I could probably fill pages over the screening event only but it’s 1am and I have a

musical to attend tomorrow so allow me to keep it short.

Handsome leader nim ❤

Front Row Seat, thank you Kindly Suho&Cithun

Look at the cute myeonie doll we received for free, we also got a poster, balloon, photo-cards and

tokki myeon plasters.

The atmosphere inside the venue was amazing, we laughed a lot together especially about Junmyeon wildly dancing to

machine and being a total dork behind the scene. One time Sehun blocked the view and everyone went “Sehunna~

Sehunna~ SEHUNNA!!” it was hilarious! One time only Jongin’s lower body showed during the Call Me Baby fancam and

the whole hall went silent for a second before we all giggled like the dirty, little perfects that

we all are. The ending was emotional, filled with words of gratitude, love and trust.

It was a great experience!

I even received this pillow in the end and took a picture with the bday ad because there is no difference at all!

It’s 1 am now and I’m hosting my own event for In The Height’s tomorrow as well as helping

out China Chen Union – so I better call it a night now.

Good night lovelies ❤

Day 5: The Vocalist Cafe Chen Beni Report

Another long day – but a happy one!

I woke up around eight thirty this morning so I got enough sleep to prepare for the day.

After hopping under the shower and throwing some make up onto my face, I headed

out to meet up for coffee with my baby dongsaeng Ally at drop top. She treated me to an Iced Americano ;__;

She also brought me my In The Height’s Ticket & Minseok’s Photobook.

20150912_101655Gorgeous sight.

Then we headed out to Kondae to The Vocalist’s Cafe Cheni Beni Event!

But before that we spotted Kimoppa’s and Chensday’s birthday ad at the station and

recharged our batteries with an delicious lunch set.

(it was hard to not press myself up against that ad and rub myself against it)

Seafood galore~~~

And off to the Cafe we went, which was like in fricking Nevada – the walk was the best exercise ever today :’D

Who am I kidding I’ve been walking around since 9 am and now it’s midnight. (sobs)

We arrived at the Cafe ten minutes before it would open and some people were already

standing in line in front of the entrance door. Everyone, especially the Vocalist were really sweet

and polite (besides one Korean highschooler who made fun of me /imitated me), passing out free

cards while we were waiting.

When it opened we were overwhelmed with just how much care and thoughtfulness the cafe

had been decorated, now let me give you a little tour.

yea we were greeted by that right at the entrance – go figure our reactions.

Look at the pictures ;___; and god I love the one with the feathers he looks like a real angel!

I’m so in love with this picture

So manly! /swoons

All her pictures that she displayed were gorgeous!

Look at this baby /cackles

You had the choice between a set (2 macarons, beni coaster, coffee/hot chocolate), they also offered

the Crescendo Photobook from last year and a photo card set for reasonable prices.

The varieties of EXO dolls we saw today were no joke!

This cracked me up!

My macarons ❤ (Strawberry/Lemon/Chocolate)

I was able to give the Vocalist my present and she remembered me from Twitter (le cries)

She was really sweet and funny!

I got an iced chocolate /noms

The photocard set is so pretty and look at the cute coaster! *___*

The girl next to us was from Taiwan and she got the Chennie Latte /grins

Selca Check

I also bought a lot of cheap clothes today and walked along the

stream at night – so I’m close to pass out right now.

I met a really sweet Korean Jongdae stan today and all in all I can say that korean

Jongdae stans are for one hilarious and secondly very, very sweet/generous!

I hope you enjoyed my little report.

Alina over and out /dives under sheets

Day 4 – Garosugil – meeting my babies

Today I spend the morning at Tom ‘n Toms before heading over to Garosugil to

meet up with my cutie pies Ally and Naz to have lunch at the same School Food, Exo shot

Showtime at – and lord was the food/soda great!!!

See the red? Yes, these were extremely spicy but so good /whines

The lime/strawberry cyder was delicious! It’s one liter each so plenty for four people to share!

Next stop was the LINE Store, just down the street, the place where

Sehun took a picture with Brown and just across the street from the HATS ON where

Jongdae & Baekhyun bought Chanyeol’s birthday present in showtime :’D

Brown wanted a hug so…

That ain’t Sally that’s Myeonie for me 😛

The Line Cafe is huge and they have great desserts&macrons&coffee for an affordable price.

You are lying to yourself if you don’t think these are adorable but I wouldn’t ever want to eat them so…#notbuying

Selfie break because we look cute together ❤

Our next stop was Cafe Eight Seconds – which is a MUST GO if you are in the Garosugil area

because it’s the best place to relax and the interior is just so creative&artsy – it was love at first sight.

Iced Matcha Latte of dreams! ❤

Look at the dried flowers and vintage items – soul sold!

They also offer organic juices and bread/brunch/cakes so you will definitely find something!

Printed out postcards for In The Height’s Support – the design is made my friend Kenia who is a super

talented artist so check her out on instagram: korangii

It was a long day but filled with a lot of smiles and laughter!

I cant wait for tomorrow ❤
